Fly direct to the historical village of Inhambane or via Maputo from both O.R. Tambo and Lanseria Airports in Johannesburg. Flights operate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Access by road is pleasant and scenic and the 485Km drive from Maputo to Inhambane takes about 6 hours. The roads are tarred and suitable for normal vehicles. The lodge is accessible by 2 wheel-drive vehicle, however, a few of the units can only be accessed by 4X4. We recommend a 4 wheel-drive vehicle as it will enable you more freedom to explore surrounding areas and beaches.
Numerous towns and villages are en-route and the main road often passes directly through these settlements. Speed limits are enforced and sufficient time should be allowed to avoid driving at night. If you are looking for an ovenight stop en-route, Blue Anchor Inn comes highly recommended. The Inn is near Xai-Xai, 50Km north of Maputo on the EN1 north road.
